About Us

“The Twisted Ewe is the place anyone may come and find the creative fibers within themselves, that when woven together create something warm and beautiful.”

When I began to dream of The Twisted Ewe, it was a place where people felt comfortable about coming and just hanging out with other knitters. To sit around a table and talk, exchange ideas (whether or not they are related to knitting) and help each other out. In this day and age it has become very easy to not have to interact, directly, with each other. I feel that as human beings we need to have direct contact with each other and I hope The Twisted Ewe becomes a place to do just that.

We have had a huge, positive response to our ‘Open Knit Night’ on Tuesday evenings. The store is open until 8pm so that people can relax and enjoy themselves.

Our selection of yarns is very diverse, from fiber to weight to color. I think we offer a little different options than the other LYS, in hopes of filling voids in the fiber community.

Christl C. - Floor Manager

Mother of a world traveler. Creative force. Martial artist. I love to dig in the dirt, use power tools and read. I am an Idaho native though I was born in Vermont and have lived in Los Angeles. I have been bit by the fiber bug and look forward to the new adventures this journey will bring.

Liz L. - Purchasing & Creative Director

I'm the 'behind the scenes' lady for The Ewe as well as the voice of our social media scene. I do my best to showcase local talent and community and to help our events go off with panache.  I guess you could say I enjoy making others look and feel good. Knitting is my little way of making myself look and feel good, something to immerse myself in when the day is finally mine. My passion for fiber is pretty serious y'all. Having the opportunity to mix that passion with my passion for people and community is kind of a dream come true.

Kalli T. - Floor Staff

At 19 years old, Kalli has been crocheting since she was 7, and knitting for the past 2 years. Born and raised in Boise, Idaho, she enjoys the quiet life of reading books and hanging out with her family. And of course knitting and crocheting.

Cindy T.- Floor Staff & Instructor

My favorite things to knit are sweaters. I am always looking for something to make my granddaughters. I have 3 of them. I love to design also. If I can’t find what I am looking to make, I’ll find something close and remake it or resize it for the girls.

I also like to make socks. I always have a pair going or maybe two. As for teaching goes, I believe that most people can knit if they want to. I think with enough encouragement, most will succeed. I would really like to help get the next generation of adults knitting. I also like Fair Isle, Lace, and love a challenge.

Natalia D. - Floor Staff

I believe knitting is more than just a craft, it creates community, sustainability, good health, giving and patience. A life full of knitting (and crocheting) helps us to slow down in life and appreciate everything around us. I am so thankful that I found this passion, and I’m so excited to share it with others! I love helping people with their projects and hearing their stories along the way.
