General Store Policies


WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?

Your satisfaction is important to Twisted Ewe. Refunds requested within 60 calendar days of purchase are subject to the following:

  •  Item to be returned must be in its original resalable condition to be eligible for refund.
  •  Yarn that has been wound or worked is not eligible for refund.
Up to $25.00 will be refunded to the method of payment used at the time of purchase (Cash or credit card used at the time of purchase). Greater than $25.00 will be given in the form of store credit or product exchange.

Returns without a receipt (or location of transaction in our system) will be refunded as store credit.

Refunds outside of 60 calendar days from the date of purchase will be issued as store credit or product exchange.

Sales on the following items are final:

  • Books
  • Patterns
  • Clearance
  • Special event items
Manufacturer Defects: Products  with manufacturer defects purchased from Twisted Ewe will be replaced with the same or comparable product or a refund will be issued. Simply bring the defective product and together we'll work with the manufacturer to rectify the situation.
Special-Order Refunds: Once Twisted Ewe receives the product at the store, the regular refund period begins as previously outlined. Yarn that has been wound or worked is not eligible for refund.

WHAT METHODS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
We thought you would never ask! The Twisted Ewe currently accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Cash, or Check. Currently, Twisted Ewe does not accept PayPal, animal pelts, or cryptocurrencies of any kind

MAY I ORDER SOMETHING YOU CURRENTLY DON'T HAVE IN THE STORE?
We'll do our very best to accommodate your special order request! 

If Twisted Ewe already works with the vendor who carries the item you are requesting, we'll do some quick research to see if we can add what you are asking for to our next order. If your item is a specialty item or color, we may require a deposit in order to secure your order.

To complete your special order, you'll need to provide your name and a good telephone number so we can contact you when your order arrives. Certain items may take longer to arrive; however, Twisted Ewe will work hard to get your item into the store as quickly as possible. 

An additional shipping charge will be added to your final purchase amount if the item is to be shipped to anywhere other than the store. Shipping services and charges are at the discretion of the Twisted Ewe.

Should your item become unavailable or be placed on backorder, Twisted Ewe will contact you to let you know. If you choose to cancel your order, please let us know. If a deposit was paid, it will be refunded to the original method of payment or issued as store credit.

Unfortunately, if Twisted Ewe does not already work with the vendor who supplies what you are asking for, Twisted Ewe will not be able to place the order. Making small purchases from new vendors can be near impossible.

We will do our best to give you ideas of where to purchase that item if Twisted Ewe is unable to get it for you. 



WHAT IS YOUR PRIVACY POLICY?
The Twisted Ewe's privacy policy is pretty straight forward. Whatever information you provide to the Twisted Ewe (online or in person) stays with the Twisted Ewe. At no time will the Twisted Ewe sell or rent any information provided by its customers to anyone for any reason.

The information you provide will only be used by Twisted Ewe to contact you or respond to you regarding the reason you contacted us. Twisted Ewe will use your information as follows:
  • Call you to tell you your special order has arrived
  • Call you to alert you to a time/date change of a class you signed up for, or similar.
  • Email you the latest copy of our newsletter or email you if we do not have your telephone number (if not provided for above reasons).
  • If you provide Twisted Ewe your mailing address to receive your Twisted Birthday Coupon, this address would only be used to mail a special order, only as applicable.
At any time, you can unsubscribe from our newsletter or update your subscription preferences by clicking on the 'unsubscribe' or 'update subscription preferences' link at the bottom of one of our newsletters. These links are included in each email we send out.

Twisted Ewe offers an awesome rewards program that includes a lot of great benefits! And the best part??? You don’t have to carry yet another punch card around!! Let us keep track of your purchases and rewards for you!

Here are the amazing details!
  • Twisted Ewe will keep track of your accrued points for you! If you need to know your current balance, it is located at the bottom of your most recent purchase receipt or you can ask us the next time you are in the store! 
    • Every $250 spent, you get $25 in store credit! 
    • You know how many dollars are left to spend before you receive that next discount!
    • Your rewards NEVER expire! 
  • Twisted Ewe will mail you a birthday postcard during your birthday month that includes a 20% coupon to use on your next big purchase!
  • Twisted Ewe's weekly newsletter will keep you informed about new products, promotions, upcoming classes and events.
    • During the holidays, you will receive the "Twelve Days of Christmas" emails that will help with gift ideas, holiday products, etc.

To receive all of this, you simply sign up the next time you are in the store! Did you move? Change your email address? Simply let us know when you are in the store next so we can make sure you receive the most out of your Twisted Ewe experience!

Twisted Rewards fine print:
Purchase rewards and birthday coupons have no cash value and may not be combined with any other sale or promotion. One $25 store credit reward or birthday coupon may be used on one purchase at a time. Purchase totals greater than $25 will maximize your reward. For purchases less than $25, the remaining balance of the reward is voided. Your Birthday coupon expires the month before your next birthday month (Birthday month is January. Coupon expires in December. You get a new one again in January!) Full mailing address must be provided to receive birthday coupon.

Consignments, Trunk Show items, classes, paid events, and gift certificates are excluded from discounts or sales of any kind.

GOT EWE BUCKS??
Ewe Bucks are the same as cash.....only different. They hold no cash value; however, they can be used just like cash when making purchases at the Twisted Ewe. You can use Ewe Bucks with either your $25 Twisted Ewe reward or with your 20% birthday coupon ANNNNND they never expire!  Woot Woot!

There are a few restrictions when using them. They are:
  • No cash value, so no change will be provided if total purchase is less than Ewe Buck total.
  • Ewe Bucks may not be used on the following items:
    • Trunk Show products
    • Consignment items
    • Classes and Paid Events
    • Gift cards


CAN I HAVE YOU HOLD AN ITEM FOR ME?

Sure! If you call the store and have us hold an item for you, Twisted Ewe will hold your item(s) for up to 6 calendar days. After the 6th day has expired, the item(s) will be returned to the shelf.



SKEIN OF THE MONTH CLUB

Want to add some variety to your stash? Consider joining our Skein of the Month Club! Each month, Twisted Ewe will select a skein from one of its many fabulous yarn lines. Each skein may be unique in weight and fiber, but you get to pick the color!

Upon enrollment, you will receive a Twisted Ewe Skein of the Month punch card BUT in case you lose it, we will also keep track of what skeins you received in case you get a new favorite!

You are not required to take each consecutive skein of the month that Twisted Ewe offers, and it ends when you have collected your sixth skein. You may re-enroll at the end of six months, as frequently as you like!

Fine Print:

The Skein of the Month Club is $100 for 6 months/6 skeins in total. The average cost of each skein is approximately $16.50. Past skeins of the month may not be substituted or exchanged for currently offered skeins of the month.



SALE AND DISCOUNT POLICY

Who doesn't love a great deal?? We certainly do! We are more than happy to honor one discount code per order. Have a 25% off reward AND your birthday coupon? Pick which one is the better deal and keep the other for next time! 

Discounts earned through the Twisted Ewe Rewards Program or issued through store credits may be used on any item in the store, excluding the following:

  • Trunk Show products
  • Consignment items
  • Classes and Paid Events
  • Gift cards

The use of discounts or the number of discounts used may be restricted, depending on application of discount(s) in question.



EXCEPTIONS TO REGULAR STORE HOURS
The Twisted Ewe will observe these holidays in these ways:

Closed all day:

Independence Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Day

Closed Early:

Christmas Eve
New Years Eve

Beginning typically around Thanksgiving, Twisted Ewe will extend business hours to include Sundays.

Other exceptions from our regular hours are possible for special events, emergencies, and inclement weather. Any changes to regular business hours will be posted on the website, in the store, and on our voicemail to the best of our ability.

SOMETHING'S DIFFERENT BUT I CAN'T QUITE PUT MY FINGER ON IT
As the Twisted Ewe continues to evolve into an even more amazing fiber destination (Can that even be possible??), changes are inevitable. Have you always wanted to learn more about the various fiber arts or perfect a specific technique? 

Twisted Ewe is proud to offer a full range of classes for those who have a passion for knitting and crocheting. We strive to offer a diverse lineup for every skill level intended to enrich and expand your knowledge of the fiber arts.

You can find a list of available Twisted Ewe classes by visiting our website and Facebook page. There are one-day classes and multi-day classes, depending on the complexity of the project.

Be sure to check back often to see what becomes available!

*If you opt in to join our Twisted Ewe Rewards Program, you will automatically receive an email from Twisted Ewe that will include our upcoming classes. 

A detailed description will be provided with each class offered. Twisted Ewe will outline what will be taught, including any applicable instructor notes. Twisted Ewe will also include a list of supplies that you may need to bring and/or what may be provided for you to get the most out of your learning experience. Any applicable supply cost will be provided.

Details:

  • Class and Special Event registration is handled on a first come, first served basis.
  • Twisted Ewe requires registration fees to be paid in full to participate in the class as well as secure your seat.
  • Classes tend to fill up fast so register early! We prefer smaller class sizes to maximize everyone’s learning experience.
  • We require that you purchase your project yarn and supplies at the Twisted Ewe. You will receive a one-time discount on your purchase, as applicable.
  • Classes will begin on time and we encourage you to arrive a few minutes early to get yourself settled. 
  • Our current class offerings are geared towards the adult learner at this time; however, we are happy to offer individual and guardian/child lessons for our younger knitters (ages 8-15). Contact the store for more details at 208-287-3693.
  • If you don’t see a class that fits your needs, we are also happy to schedule individual sessions to help with your special project or to learn a new technique. Call the store at 208-287-3693 to check for available dates and times.


HOW DO I REGISTER FOR A CLASS OR EVENT?
The Twisted Ewe prefers to keep our classes on the smaller size so class space is limited and can fill up fast! Your payment reserves your seat, so please consider registering as early as you can. You can register online, in the shop, or by phone (208-287-3693). We accept all major credit cards, cash, and check. 
  • Web orders and registrations placed after business hours will be processed on our next business day.
  • If a class fills up, Twisted Ewe will make every attempt to offer a second class to accommodate everyone who is interested.


CLASS CANCELLATION INFORMATION
Twisted Ewe understands that life happens! If you are unable to make it to the class or event that you signed up for, simply call the store to let us know!
  • Cancellation 15 days before class begins: 100% of the registration fee will be returned to you as store credit.
  • Cancellation 3 days before class begins: 50% of the registration fee will be returned to you as store credit.
  • Twisted Ewe reserves the right to cancel a class or event. In this case, registration fees will be refunded in full to the original method of payment.
  • Fees for special guest workshops may be non-refundable. It will be noted in the class description, on the event or class post, etc.

Of course we can! Bring in your skeins to be wound and while you are waiting, meander around the store to see the latest the Twisted Ewe has to offer! There is a $1.00 charge per skein.

**The Twisted Ewe is not liable for damage that may occur to non-Twisted Ewe yarn while being wound. 



ARE THE COLORS IN YOUR PHOTOS ACCURATE?
We do not use filters or anything on our photos; however, each monitor (or mobile device) shows colors differently. We do our best to show the colors of our scrumptious yarns as accurately and as close to real-life as possible!

If you have any questions about color, please feel free to either stop by the store or give us a call!


DO YOU HAVE A CATALOG?
No. At this time, Twisted Ewe does not offer online purchasing. Purchases of Twisted Ewe products can be made through our store located in beautiful Garden City, Idaho.

HELP! I'M STUCK!?!

We all get a little (or a lot) stuck on a project. Twisted Ewe employs knowledgeable knitters and crocheters who can answer questions or help you through a tight spot.

If it’s a quick fix (typically can be addressed within 5 to 10 minutes), feel free to stop by anytime during store hours. We’ll do our best to get you unstuck and back on your way! 

If you want our undivided attention, you can also stop in during our specific 'Help' times to reduce any interruptions. Currently, our help times are:

Monday: 10a-12p
Wednesday: 4p-6p
Friday: 10a-12p
Saturday: 4p-6p

If you require a little more hands-on assistance, Twisted Ewe offers 1-on-1 personalized training/assistance for $15 per hour.

JUST THE FIBER FACTS, MA'AM

These random facts about the gorgeous fibers we use to make our fun projects may help prevent a disaster or help set proper expectations about these fibers.

  • Gauge is important – do a gauge swatch before knitting your project. If there is ever a question or concern, ask one of our experienced fiber artists at the shop (or give us a call). We'll do our best to help; however, we cannot be held responsible if the wrong needle or the wrong gauge is used.
  • Industry standard is that several breaks or knots is acceptable in an average skein or ball of yarn.  
  • Superwash yarns tend to grow when washed. They tend to snap back when put in the dryer briefly. Non-superwash wools tend to shrink or felt if washed improperly. If you are unsure, ask before you wash! We'd hate to see your beautiful project ruined!
  • Many hand-painted, hand-dyed, and other yarns tend to bleed. Color may come off on the knitter’s needles, hands, and in the water the first several times items are washed. This is normal.
  • Single-ply yarns, while gorgeous, are by their nature not as strong as plied yarns. They are more prone to separation. Other examples that are prone to separation are single-ply 'thick/thin' yarns like "Noro" or "Bamboo Bloom". This is normal and not a flaw in the yarn itself. Our staff will do our best to inform our customers of this before a purchase is made.
