Magic Loop Top-down Socks

Hand knit socks are fun to make; so warm and cozy, they are totally worth the effort! You'll learn basic sock shaping and knitting in the round using the "magic loop" technique.

Students must be comfortable with knit and purl stitches, recognizing the stitches on their needles, as well as K2tog and SSK.

Skills you will learn in this 3 session class:
-Knitting in the round with "Magic Loop"
-Knitting a sock from the top down
-K2tog, SSK, picking up stitches & sock shaping

Materials you will need:
-Approximately 350-400 yards of fingering/sock weight yarn
-40" US size 1 circular knitting needles
-At least 2 removable stitch markers

As always, students receive 10% off materials when purchasing for your class. We highly recommend Mountain Colors "Twizzle Foot' or "Zauberball Crazy" as excellent choices for sock yarns. Both are sturdy and durable while remaining quite soft!
